Mack Marsden was homeschooled in the mountains of Southern Oregon, lived for a while in Boston, and currently resides in Queens, New York. They have a BA from the University of Oregon and a MFA from the University of Mayland-College Park. They work as a barista/bartender/bookseller for their day job.

In 2022 they were awarded the Pushcart Prize for their story Suffering in Motion, and in 2020 they were awarded a St. Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Grant.

They are currently shopping their first novel, The Riffraff.
